Catching Up From The Pandemic

It’s been a while!  Just to catch you up, we have reopened our preschool, my son got engaged, and I started selling kitchen products!  All this while living through a pandemic!

First, our son proposed to his beautiful fiance!  It was a very planned out and magical moment for them to add to their story!  Watch here. So, we have had excitement in our house!   It is fun to watch them start their new life and be there to help if needed!   I am so excited to see Jason and Rebekah start their life together and I am so happy that I’m here to watch it unfold.

Our preschool reopened in June.  I am so blessed to have this family business!   My daughter, Katie, and her boyfriend, Nate, both work at the school.  See Katie here.  Jason, my son, works there too when he’s not traveling with his music career.   Click here.  My husband, Jerry, does a lot there too, but he is a public school teacher during the school year.  We are blessed to be able to work with children and help them grow.

During the time we were off work due to Coronavirus, I rediscovered my love of the kitchen.  I reconnected with a lady who asked me to sell Pampered Chef over 20 years ago.   I counted all of the items that I had bought over the years and I noticed that they were all well used and still working!   So, I have started my journey with Pampered Chef!   This is turning out to be a great side “gig” for me!  I truly love getting Pampered Chef products and trying them out with my family.  Join my Facebook Page here to watch some products in action.

So many changes have happened in our world this half of 2020!  I am so lucky to have my family with me during this time!  I am keeping up with Jason and Rebekah, Katie and Nate, and Kayla,   This entire disaster has brought our family closer and forced us to be together and reconnect.  Learning to deal with restrictions is very difficult when we usually live in a world that requires little wait times for anything.  Instant gratification has become more of a normal thing than it was in the past.   It has taught me to work hard toward being content with whatever is happening and enjoying the moment.  I realize that is sometimes impossible, but I have learned if you are actively thinking about what is good about whatever is happening at that moment, you can usually find something positive to get you through!

Please comment and let us know what positive things have happened during your Pandemic!

  3. Hey Lo, I really enjoyed reading your blog and thought you did an amazing job of portraying yourself and your passion for self-expression and art! As someone who might possibly be the least artistic person on the face of the Earth, I have grown a great appreciation for those who can find and display beauty in anything, especially through photographs! I too miss playing sports, the structure was always nice a consistent schedule while doing something that I was truly passionate about was very beneficial for me growing up! Tomi Giordano Kirkwood
