What would your wish be? Is it possible or is it realistic? I mean could that really happen and you continue on the way you are now?
When I was a classroom teacher, I would say I wish I never had to do lesson plans again. There was just something about that task that made me feel overwhelmed. Until one day, when I forgot my lesson plans (this was before digital lesson plans) at home. I was very detailed about when and what we were doing each day, and even though I hated doing the plan, that day I realized I was lost without the plan. The plan kept me moving in the right direction. Without it, I survived the day, but when I got home, we didn’t do exactly what I had planned it was an eye opening moment for me.
That day made me realize why we have a plan. The plan is to make sure you do what you need to and if you didn’t fit it into the next day! It seems odd, but leaving home my lesson plans taught me that if you are going to measure what you do each day so that you get it all done, then you need a plan to hold you accountable to yourself.
So, you might not have a classroom full of children that you are obligated to teach, but even if you stay home or you have a job, you have responsibilities and things you need to do each day to make sure the things you are supposed to do get done. Right?
Invest in a planner and make a plan. Then work your plan. Your life will be so much more directed and meaningful. Feeling like you accomplished something is such a great feeling. I’m not saying to write down your every move, but schedule when you are going to go to the grocery or attend a webinar. Whatever is important to you in your life! Schedule yourself each day so you keep up with your responsibilities!
Until next time!
